Memorial Day Breakfast 06/04/2009
On Memorial Day we were extremely honored to serve Breakfast to The 2nd Marine Air Wing, U.S. Marine Corp Band. They were in Attleboro to play our Memorial Day Parade. The Veterans in Christopher Heights of Attleboro were invited to have Breakfast with the Marine Corp Band.

Wii Bowling Competition 10/01/2008
Christopher Heights of Attleboro held it’s first Wii Bowling competition. On Monday, September 29, 2008 the top 6 Wii Bowlers from Christopher Heights Assisted Living of Webster came to Christopher Heights of Attleboro for the first ever Wii Bowling Tournament. Team Attleboro consisted of Norma, Nancy, Marie, Bill, Blanche and Jo. Team Webster consisted of Rita, Mary, Zella, Lillian, Archie and Neil. Competition was fierce. Every strike was greeted with loud cheers from the crowd. Cheerleaders waving Pom-Poms encouraged each bowler as they stepped up to “the Lane”. In the end, Attleboro edged out Webster for the win.

Flamingo Party 07/10/2008
What better to do on a warm summer’s day than to get in the swing with a Flamingo Fling, with fresh fruit, pink ice cream cake and tropical music provided by J. Slick. Flamingos were given out the month of June to all the resident who assisted a new resident by bringing them to an activity.

8th Annual Family Barbecue 07/10/2008
Our 8th annual family barbecue held on June 28th. There were 160 residents and family members that attend. Our Executive Chef, Steve Reynolds, and cook Caroline Dillon served hamburgers, hotdogs, ribs, potato salad, macaroni salad, corn, watermelon and for dessert hot fudge sundaes. The Executive Director, Valerie Dennehy and Sharon Viera, Activity Director made Cotton Candy for everyone. The weather was perfect. Although it was hot we have the barbecue underneath the building where there is all shade and a cool breeze. We were entertained by Ann Marie and Ice.

The Ladies of Christopher Heights of Attleboro 06/14/2008
The Ladies of Christopher Heights of Attleboro is a member of the Women Reaching Women group. It is an outreach group of the women of the Community Covenant Church. The idea behind this outreach is for women to reach out to women of all ages and cultures with support, encouragement and friendship. The Ladies of Christopher Heights are busy making dolls. In the last year over 400 dolls have been donated to local children’s charities, such as St. Mary’s home for children, Prevent Child Abuse of R.I., Hasbro Children’s Hospital and Early Intervention.

Spring is in the Air 04/13/2008
Spring is in the air at Christopher Heights of Attleboro. Arts and crafts took place today with the Ladies making some floral hats to place on their apartment door. Our Activity Director, Sharon Viera, Guides and assist our residents to make the perfect decoration.
