| Bowling Team Winners |

Prize ribbons were given out to the winners of the Christopher Heights "Rolling Pins" Wii Bowling team. The awards were presented at the end of a six week, in-house league.
First place went to Neil, second place went to Archie and third place was awarded to Evelyn. Congratulations to all the partiicipants. |

| Racing Pigeons |

Kenneth Chickering, of Dudley, was the guest speaker at this month's Men's Luncheon at Christopher Heights. Ken brought a very interesting video about "Racing Pigeons". After the video, residents asked questions and were introduced to two of his racing pigeons. It was a very interesting topic and the residents, both men and women, enjoyed it very much. Thank you to Ken for sharing his time with our residents. |

| Annual Summer Fun Picnic |

On June 13th, Christopher Heights of Webster held it's Annual Summer Fun Picnic.
Ron Stone and Greg Vangel entertained the crowd as they enjoyed great food and company. Close to 300 people were in attendance, consisting of residents, staff and their families. The children enjoyed having their faces painted, and picking an ice cream from the Ice Cream cart. It was a perfect day for all. |

| Picnic Centerpieces |

Residents of Christopher Heights held a craft session in order to make centerpieces for their annual summer picnic to be held on June 13th. The ladies did a wonderful job with the floral arrangements. The arrangements are placed on the dining tables the day of the picnic and given to a lucky winner at each table. Residents added American Flags to the centerpieces in recognition of Flag day on June 14th. |

| Ronnie's in Charlton |

Residents of Christopher Heights in Webster went out to lunch at Ronnie's in Charlton.
The residents enjoyed everything from the fried scallops to the ice cream. The trip was so popular that a second trip was planned to accomodate everyone who wished to go.
A special thanks to Miles for having us and making everything very enjoyable. |

| Outing to Magic Wings Butterfly Coservatory |

On Friday, May 15th, a group of residents went on an outing to "Magic Wings" Butterfly Coservatory, which is located in South Deerfield, Ma. It was a bright, sunny day, and the buterflies were in the mood to spread their wings and fly. Not only were their butterflies there, but we saw fish in a small pond, quaills scurrying about, and a walking stick, which our residents held. A buffet lunch was enjoyed by all, and shopping in the gift shop ended what was a perfect day. |

| Volunteer Appreciation Party |

On May 5th, the residents of Christopher Heights in Webster held a Volunteer Appreciation Party to honor the St. Louis Student Volunteers. The students take turns volunteering their time in the evenings to help our residents and staff with the active games and Bingo. They are truly an asset to our community and are very much appreciated. The students were presented with Certificates of Appreciation and played a game with the residents. A poem was read, by Helen, a resident, which was written by a group of residents in our Tuesday morning Chat Group, and the evening ended with all enjoying cake and lemonade. |

| Volunteer Recognition Party |

On Friday, April 24th, Christopher Heights of Webster held it's annual Volunteer Recognition Party. A special poem about Volunteers was read by one of our residents, Helen M. The poem was written by a group of residents attending our Tuesday Chat Group, which is lead by Maggie Johnson. Volunteers were given Certificates of Appreciation and beautifully decorated cookies with a special message attatched. Delicious pastry was served and Paul Belanger provided the entertainment. It was a wonderful day for all. |

| Tony Funches Visits |

Tony Funches, the former lead vocalist for the 50's group,"Herb Reed and the Platters", recently performed for the residents of Christopher Heights in Webster. He has performed on stage with well known groups such as The Drifters, The Coasters, The Shirells and Mary Wilson's Supremes. Tony encouraged the residents to sing-a-long and engaged them throughout the show with stories and laughter.
It was a very upbeat afternoon. |

| Easter Cookie & Egg Decorating |

On Thursday, April 9th, residents of Christopher Heights got in the Easter spirit by coloring eggs and decorating Easter cookies. Residents got to keep some of their creations to share with their families and friends. The rest of their beautifully decorated cookies were handed out to residents who were unable to attend the decorating event, as well as staff members, so that they may enjoy them. It was a very enjoyable afternoon for all. |
