Christopher Heights of Worcester
assisted living community has partnered with Abby's House in the past, and
Christmas is no exception.
Donations of personal care items are
being collected from residents, their families and friends, visitors and
employees now through the first week in December. Residents and Rosemary
Grant, Activities Director at Christopher Heights, will be making donation packages
to deliver to Abby s House in time for the upcoming Holiday Season. Also,
$1.00 donations to Abby s House that are made at the Christopher Heights of Worcester location will be matched by the
Resident Activity Fund.
Abby s House
is a non-profit organization in Worcester, Massachusetts that serves homeless and
battered women and their children. Founded in 1976, Abby s House has
helped thousands of women and children make their way out of the chaos of
homelessness.
Abby s House
accomplishes its work with broad and solid grassroots support; nearly half of
their operating budget is provided by individuals and community groups.
About 200 trained and dedicated volunteers join their small paid staff to
provide a lifeline of programs and services for women and children living in
poverty.
