tips for helping you prevent and avoid falling
unnecessarily
1. Talk to your doctor about your
medications.
Some medictions can affect your balance
or cause dizziness.
2. Eat Right
Regular meals and proper nutrition will
keep you on your feet.
3. Get Regular Vision
Exams
Regular eye exams can determine if there
are problems with your vision.
4. Make Your Home
Safer
Pick up all clutter that can limit
movement in walking areas. Make sure all rugs are properly secured to avoid
slips and trips. Install railings and grab bars where needed.
5. Stay
Active
Regular exercise can help keep
you maintain your balance, flexibility and strength. These steps will
reduce your risk of falling.
