Grand Opening of Worcester's State-of-the-Art
Technical High School Facility!
The newly constructed Worcester Technical High School
(WTHS) is opening on August 28, 2006.
Construction began in 2003 and it is the first new vocational school
built in Massachusetts in 25 years, at a cost of $90
million. WTHS sets a new standard for school design, representing the very best
that vocational and technical education has to offer. Worcester realizes the importance of educating
a workforce that can drive a new economy and WTHS will serve the entire
community as a high school by day and for adult learning at night.
The new facility is next to Christopher Heights of Worcester and our residents and staff members
are looking forward to developing a partnership with our new neighbors. WTHS
boasts a total of 25 career paths. The school’s “Main Street” section
is available for us to patronize services such as a salon, health center,
Worcester Credit Union branch/ATM, Harr Automotive facility, Dell computer
kiosk, early childhood center, retail stores, a restaurant and a coffee
shop/bakery.
Please join us in congratulating Worcester Technical High
School’s students and educators and wishing them
well in their impressive new facility.
