GIBLETS - MAY BE IN RESTAURANTS

if you go out, please check the sources of seafood salad (not the real one) and
the sautéed chicken livers or just stay away from those items on the menus for a
while. Slade Gorton & Co. of Boston, MA is issuing a voluntary recall of its
ICEBAY cooked, ready-to-eat, frozen langostinos because they have the potential
to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. The recalled ICEBAY cooked
langostinos were distributed to retailers in Massachusetts and Maryland, over
the course of several weeks. Cagle s Inc. a Collinsvile, AL, established, is
voluntarily recalling approximately 943,000 pounds of various fresh and frozen
poultry giblets and fresh carcasses with giblets inserted that may be
adulterated due to improper disposition of the giblets, the US Department of
Agriculture s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced today. The products
were produced on various dates between December 3, 2007 and March 12, 2008, and
were distributed to institutions and restaurants
nationwide. |
