The Pension Action Center at the University of MA, Boston
asks your help to get the word out about its no-cost service for the people of
New England. The word of pensions and retirement income is a complex maze of
government and corporate pension policies, Social Security, federal regulation
and financial investment. Many elderly individuals, who were not poor during
their working years became poor in retirement because they have no pension or do
not receive the pension they have earned. The Pension Action Center secures
retirement income for New Englanders by providing comprehensive assistance on
private or public pension issues at no cost; unraveling complex pension plan
documents and calculating benefit amounts and digging in to search for lost
pensions (a pension becomes lost when a company moves, is acquired or merges),
spending the necessary time that others just cannot give to sort it all out.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2008, the Pension Action Center is a
one-of-a-kind organization in New England that touches the lives of thousands of
people through its work. Over the years it has recovered more than $30 million
in retirement benefits. |
